Well... 01:21
Well... You've gone and done it this time Broken her heart right in two She will come around sometime For now, what the hell are you gonna do? Do what you always have done Write her a love song If your heart is in the right place You probably can't think of much to say Everything you sing will sound cliche No matter how hard you might try Nothing is going to sound right When you write her a love song Take a cue from the road Take her everywhere you go Don't you ever think that I don't know What's in store. That's what these songs are for.

Snow can keep me in but the world can't keep me out Past my dreams before but can't do without I don't know where I've been these past few months or so But my New Years Girl tells me where to go Wind can be awful loud but it can't drown me out Every song I sing is my own anthem now I wish I changed my mind before I changed my heart Like my New Years Girl told me from the start She said If I was a liar, you knew me too well All the sounds that settled are the sounds you tried to quell If I was a thief, I wouldn't steal from you My New Years Girl is a lot like you Cold can quickly turn the faint of heart From a man in love to one it tore apart I tried to save myself before the world broke through My New Years Girl tried to save me too She said Don't you hold yourself in such high regard The world will pull you down when you try too hard If I was your lover, I wouldn't leave you be My New Years Girl will never leave me She writes books about kings and queens I write songs that don't mean a thing I wish I learned what her stories did mean My New Years Girl remains a mystery to me She said If I was a liar, you knew me too well All this time you wasted could have brought you back from hell If I was a thief, I wouldn't steal from you My New Years Girl is a lot like you.

Bonnie don't like the world she's in Or the way her age turns on her skin She's having thoughts about packing up And leaving the world she's so used to coming home to Jackie don't like the way he smells Or the things his mind does to himself He goes back and forth through his life Going home with her, but once again alone It's only in the price it takes It's only in the cost it makes It's only in the seeds you sow It's always in you I'm not gonna pay my dues Bonnie walks alone every night With her hands in her pockets to keep out the bite Of the cold and the harshness of the city itself With its lights that turn on every night Jackie walks along a lonely street Thinking about the girl he'd like to meet With her hands in her pockets while his love sits at home Where he only feels alone It's only in the price it takes It's only in the cost it makes It's only in the seeds you sow It's always in you I'm not gonna pay my dues Bonnie takes hers with cream, no sugar And maybe a hint of french vanilla Jackie likes his exactly the same So he says, "You've got good taste there, my friend" So they sit and talk for maybe an hour In the farthest booth of a run down diner Explaining how they both seemingly lost their way In a simple twist of fate At 4a.m the waitress yells "You can't stay here, we're about to close" And so, they part ways And Jackie says I don't feel so alone in this place All it took was a fresh face Now I'm stricken with a sickness I can't control A momentary hope in my soul It's only in the price it takes It's only in the cost it makes It's only in the seeds you sow It's always in you I'm not gonna pay my dues

Whiskey Hill 03:32
I took a walk last night To catch a girl who dreams with me I’ve never done her right But still she waits, and she waits for me She said don’t leave this Whiskey Hill Before my heart can burst She said Don’t leave me all alone Because I don’t know where I come from She’s always changing to me In my mind and in the flesh Whichever version I see Constantly outdoes the rest Under stars, she can see The future isn’t always laid out best But regardless of me She’ll always be my princess She said don’t leave this Whiskey Hill Before my heart can burst She said Don’t leave me all alone Because I don’t know where I come from I can’t seem to keep her against the world Every time she dreams I see my girl She said don’t leave this Whiskey Hill Before my heart can burst She said Don’t leave me all alone Because I don’t know where I come from She said don’t fight my battles for me You’ve got yours, my dear She said we’ve come so far from home But Whiskey Hill is where I come from

My baby's got something in the way she's moving She always keeps her eyes closed My baby knows that I'm dreaming of her I always keep my eyes closed I'm not much with words these days But I could always write you a song I don't try to get my way But I did when you came along He knows that I'm thinking of him I can see it in the pearls of his eyes I know that he knows I am always Looking in the pearls of his eyes I'm not much with words these days But I could always write you a song I don't try to get my way But I did when you came along I think that I've never seen anything Like the colors in your eyes I want to paint my whole wide world With the colors that are in your eyes I'm not much with words these days But I could always write you a song I don't try to get my way But I did when you came along

I know it's cold outside I know it's freezing in your mind If you ever need someone, I'll be there I know you sat alone When the summer had gone Because winter never really was your season When the riot goes down, we'll be inside So you had a rough night You sure put up one hell of a fight If we go down, we'll go down swinging It's much harder to breathe When you're down on your knees Because everything looks much worse from six feet under When the riot goes down, we'll be inside No ones gonna know the price we paid They're all gonna see the way we lost control

its the hardest thing to say i miss you for the things you taught me every single day and the memories you made, the family you create of strangers every year who come together just to play on those nights, under those lights when one more time meant plenty more and twenty seconds meant three or four and we wouldn’t have it any other way and now that you’re gone your memory marches on because we sing, we dance we take pride in our band and we learned that all from you i take your lessons with you every day find inspiration in the words you used to say and wherever it is you are i hope that you know how many lvies you changed with your precence alone and now that you’re gone your memory marches on because we sing, we dance we take pride in our band and we learned that all from you my eyes will always be with pride for all you left behind and all you did to me and for you leading your life your own way and now that you’re gone your memory marches on because we sing, we dance we take pride in our band and we learned that all from you

Blue 03:47
nothings really coming out the way you ever wanted you just stay the same while the world keeps moving past you you better sink or swim, you better hold it in as everything goes back to just a shade of blue now you’re sitting back, writing love songs to the skyline tracing pyramids, shaping your life out in the clouds you better reconnect, you better find what fits as everything goes back to just a shade of blue through a looking glass, your perception is all distorted making paths where paths will never be you better take your time, you better fall in line as everything goes back to just a shade of blue so you sit, writing love songs to no one as the sunset fades, and her shadow disappears you better sing that song, you know ill sing along as everything goes back to just a shade of blue

Why’s my bed so cold? Where’s my mockingbird? Something seems like its just out of place I’m not sad just yet. The worlds kept me from that But something feels like its so out of place Antes up, my bets not good enough Marie, don’t leave me just now My hearts a burning bridge just waiting to come down I’m away from you, you’re away from me Please don’t leave me, Marie This is where it ends. I can’t just pretend There’s no such thing as taking someones place It’s the hardest thing. Not caving in When you’re so sad and I can’t do a thing My best friend, this can’t be the end Marie, don’t leave me just now My hearts a burning bridge just waiting to come down I’m away from you, you’re away from me Please don’t leave me, Marie If we could just get back to November Take a break, forget September If we could just make it all like new Marie, don’t leave me just now We spent way too long just to turn around I’m away from you, you’re away from me Please don’t leave me Marie, don’t leave me just now My hearts a burning bridge just waiting to come down I’m away from you, you’re away from me Please don’t leave me, Marie

I don't know where to start The past three years just broke my heart Life came fast and won’t let me rest But she’s a reason to start What do you do when you find Three girls are on your mind? An angel, a muse, and the girl who left you It all seems like a waste of time It’s the start of my day Seeing her beautiful face She don’t know I care because she can’t read my mind But she’ll find out sometime The other is miles away I can’t help but smile when I see her face We were in love and then she left my life But who knows what happens with time I had settled back home But felt so damn alone So I moved towards love and a promise of hope But that love just left me alone That hope is the start of my life A promise to do something right So I spend every day just trying to relate In a world that can’t do nothing right It’s not a whole but a part The past three years were a gift and a start Everyday I wait just to hear From the girls that I hold dear

about

This album is essentially the story of the past three years of my life. Some songs are brutally honest while others may dance around the truth. Take them as you will, but whatever you do, enjoy them. I've worked hard on this and I'm so excited to share it with you.

Pride In Our Band written in memory of George N. Parks, one of the greatest people I've ever known.
