about

I don't know how each man gets from point A to point B
But I fell in love when I was 19 and that's all the direction I need
I've often question what makes a man
Is it courage, compassion, or fear?
But nothing pales to making a man like having a woman near

Take nothing for granted
You'll learn when push comes to shove
Day by day, nothing compares
To spending the night in the arms of your love

One or twice a time these days
When doubt seeps into my mind
Her voice and song, they come along
And kick doubt's loathsome behind

It's been about a year now since we departed from that shore
I am trying to keep this boat afloat
I am trying to keep what I had wrote

Take nothing for granted
You'll learn when push comes to shove
Day by day, nothing compares
To spending the night in the arms of your love

Everything that I try to be is rooted in my sleep
The comfort thats outside of me is nothing I can keep
In the moment I become
A part of her
A part of love
A part of the great hypocrisy
A part of earth, in its wretched beauty
A part of the great hypocrisy

So when times get tough and loss settles in
It's hard to recall what you have
When every thought turns to those you miss
The present can seem pretty bad
Find the one who defines what you have
Take little from where you came
The only thing that you really need
Is the astral sound of someone calling your name
